This is a lovely vintage full pelt silver fox wrap probably from the 2nd World War 1940s/1950s. It is a full pelt (it is all fur and no silk lining) and fastens with a fabric covered large hook and eye. It measures 54 inches long and is in good condition. There is wear in one small area on the inside fur and the feet are not in original condition, but otherwise this is a beautiful piece and would be suitable for 1940s re-enactments, theatrical costume or just wearing!

Vintage Fox Fur Stole wrap- theatrical, enactments
This is a magnificent example of an antique Victorian or Edwardian swan feather muff. It measures 12 inches long and is 28 inches in circumference. The feathers lie beautifully and it is in excellent condition. The colour is almost white, with flecks of grey towards the edges. It originally had a silk lining which has sadly almost disappeared but could be replaced, however the cotton underlining is intact and is perfectly adequate. This is a really beautiful muff, in very good condition, one of the nicest I have seen. It would be a wonderful accessory for a period costume. Please contact me for postage costs.

Victorian or Edwardian Muff in Swan feathers
This is an antique large chignon type hair comb in what I believe to be tortoiseshell. It is curved, is wide and measures approximately 5 inches wide and 5 inches high. It is in very good condition, and there is no damage. It dates from the late Victorian or Edwardian era, when ladies generally wore their hair long in a chignon or elaborate style. This is an attractive and useful accessory.

Antique Chignon Hair Comb in Tortoiseshell
This is a magnificent Victorian/Edwardian hair comb in the form of an asymmetrical fan of diamanté set in I believe silver plate. The design incorporates small flowers and leaves which fan out at the top of the setting. It has five prongs in light coloured tortoiseshell or celluloid. It is hard to date but is probably from around the end of the 19th Century , when women's hair was still worn long and often high on the head. It would have been worn for a Ball or other formal occasion. The appearance is very dramatic with plenty of sparkle. The comb measures 6 1/2 iches tall and 6 inches across at its widest point. This is a wonderful piece and would make that very special Christmas gift!

Antique Hatpin in the form of a lizard on a shell
This is a lovely set of Edwardian hat pins in their fitted box, labelled with the trade mark of “Perfectus Pins”. The heads which are of mother of pearl and diamante are detachable and there are two long pins and one shorter one,all with thread fittings, to give variety of length. The box is lined with satin and velvet and covered on the outside with blue leather which is in excellent condition. There is some discolouration and pitting on the pins which can be seen in the photographs but the hatpins are in very good condition for their age. These belong to the era when letters were written to “The Times” to complain of the dangers of long hatpins to other passengers who were travelling on the Underground in London!

Pair of Edwardian Hatpins in Leather Case
This a small clutch bag dating I believe from the 1930s, and made from a Chinese embroidered fabric featuring dragons, the flaming pearl, clouds and flower sprays. It measures just over 9 inches wide at its widest part and 6 inches deep. It is lined in black silk and there are two small gathered pockets inside. The clasp of gold coloured metal works well, closing with two small balls. The bag is generally in good condition, apart from some slight wear in the fabric on one side near the clasp and there is some loss of the “gold” finish to the frame, but this does not affect the appearance too much. The condition of the outside is good except for a small red mark, shown in the photograph. This is a very attractive bag, the condition is very good for its age, and is a useful size.

Art Deco Clutch Bag in Chinese Embroidered Fabric
This is a very attractive and useful vintage handbag, probably dating from the 1930s/1940s period. The outside is covered with black silk and it has two handles. The bag measures 5 inches by 3 1/2 inches and is 1 1/2 inches deep. The inside is fitted with a powder compartment with sprung lid, a round compartment for rouge and a lipstick in its own slot. The other side is fitted with a bevelled mirror, which has a concealed space behind it, perhaps originally for cigarettes or small personal items. The only damage is some very sight corrosion on the edges of the gold coloured frame and very light wear on the silk cover. However these are small faults and the bag is very attractive and useable.

It has an indented mark "non-inflammable". It measures 4 1/2 inches (11 cms.) wide and 3 1/4 inches (8 cms.) deep. It dates from the early 20th century, when women's hair was still worn in a loose coil or a bun. The condition is excellent and this would make a wonderful Christmas present!

Diamante Haircomb early 20th Century
This is a very attractive sunshade or parasol, dating I believe from the 1930s in a cotton fabric printed with French type scenes, with market stalls with striped sunshades selling fruit or flowers, people with baskets of flowers and fruit and festoons of leaves and flower sprays. It has a dark cream background and the motifs are brightly coloured. The creases are somewhat soiled and I have not attempted to remedy this. There are two holes, one near the centre near the knob and one on the outer edge, both of which can be seen from the photos but the rest of the fabric seems quite strong. The original elastic fastening is still in position. The elegant handle is in plain light coloured wood. The total length of the parasol is just over 31 inches ( 79 cms.) – a very attractive accessory for a vintage outfit. I send all goods by Royal Mail first class signed for delivery and insurance is included in the postal charge.

Art Deco 1930s Parasol
A most unusual and rare pair of 19th Century sandal boots, or Barrettes, which date from the 1870s. They are made of dark blue leather, bound with silk of a lighter blue and fastening with three spherical metal buttons into buttonholes from each side. At the top of the boot there is a flap which fastens with a hook and eye and conceals the top button. The sandals are lined with cream kid, the sole is leather and the heels are of a stacked leather type. The sandals have seen quite a bit of wear. There is a little scuffing of the leather and the silk binding has worn away in some places, and one of the buttons is held in place with fine wire, but in view of their age and amount of use, they are in good condition. In their time these barrettes must have been the height of fashion, even a little daring, and were worn to show off coloured stockings, perhaps in a sporty environment or at the beach. They would make a most unusual addition to a collection. POSTAGE By Royal Mail Special Delivery or Airsure and insurance is included in the postal charge. I will always combine items for posting if you are making more than one purchase.
