Antique Edwardian Lady's Cotton Blouse,

DescriptionThis is a delightful blouse , designed to be worn over the skirt band, in a fine cotton fabric with inset bands of lace and very fine pin tucking, It has a band of broderie anglaise with slots where ribbon can be inserted, and the neck is decorated with bands of lace and broderie anglaise to form a stand up collar. The sleeves are short and also decorated with lace. At the waist there is a short peplum and it fastens at the front with four small linen buttons in a concealed placket. There is a tape at the waist to draw it in. The measurements are as follows: Bust: 36 inches (93 cms)measured flat (34 inches to allow for ease in wearing Waist: 27 inches (68 cms) Shoulder to waist 15 inches (38 cms) Sleeve length: 12 1/2 inches (32 cms) There are a few small age spots but this blouse is in good condition and very wearable either with contemporary outfits or as part of a period costume.
